IAAOU
has set certain standards that a university must meet in order
to become an accredited member. The standards are as follows:
> The university must
be legally registered within the country it is located.
> It must offer a full
distance learning degree program without any resident requirement.
The university must have a non-discrimination policy about
on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, age,
disability, sexual orientation, or marital status.
> The university will
have to provide a confidentiality policy to students about
secrecy of the students' academic and personal record. The
university will not graduate any student who fails to meet
the academic requirements as set by that institution.
> It would be the responsibility
of the university to inform IAAOU about any material change
in the operation of their college that might cause concern
to the Agency.
> A university may
only be considered for accredited membership when nominated
by a member of IAAOU.
> A member may resign
any time by tendering his resignation either in writing or
by e-mail.
